Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe

WCoZ is a national membership based network of women rights activists and women’s organisations.WCoZ’s central role is to provide a focal point for activism on women and girl’s rights. WCoZ brings females from diverse backgrounds to collectively advocate for the attainment and enjoyment of their rights.WCoZ’s individual and organisational members work in diverse fields and are grouped into nine thematic clusters. These include health, legal and constitutional rights, education, gender based violence, economic empowerment, peace building, environment, media and ICT, politics and decision making.By creating a space for women and girls to collectively participate and empower each other, WCoZ envisions a Zimbabwean society where women and girls fully enjoy all their rights and achieve gender equality.

Law Society of Zimbabwe

The Law Society of Zimbabwe (LSZ) works to foster public trust and confidence in the justice system in Zimbabwe. The LSZ is dedicated to effectively and efficiently representing and regulating the legal profession to promote the sustainable development of the legal profession, the observance of the rule of law, and foster public trust and confidence in the justice system. The LSZ Council and all members of its management and staff are united by the core values that they each uphold, as individuals and as a team. The Law Society of Zimbabwe is an association mandated with registering lawyers and regulating how lawyers and law firms operate in Zimbabwe

Women and Land Zimbabwe

Women and Land in Zimbabwe (WLZ) works with rural women to facilitate the eradication of gender discrimination in access, ownership and control of land, natural resources and related opportunities for sustainable livelihoods of socially and economically disadvantaged/excluded women in Zimbabwe.WLZ’s vision is to advance and economically empower women through land use.WLZ works with rural women and provides them with information on their rights and entitlement to land. It also works to empower women to be more productive on allocated land, have access to more resources and engages with the government on land reform policies and laws.Learn more about WLZ’s work here

Girls Not Brides is a global network of more than 1,600 civil society organisations from over 100 countries committed to ending child marriage and ensuring girls can reach their full potential.

The Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) is a coalition of over 70 civil society organisations working across 33 countries. Established in 2004, SOAWR works to ensure that the rights of girls and women as articulated in the Protocol to the African Charter on the Rights of Women in Africa (“The Protocol”) are prioritised by policymakers on the African continent.
